Seems that the Cimko Compact 28mm 1:2.8 (also seen as Paragon PMC, Beroflex, Ensinor, Clubman..), a 25cm close focusing all metal construction, was made by Cima Kogaku, who had a patented system that allowed the lenses to be built it with common bodies fitted with appropriate lens mounts.
The lenses were mostly sold OEM under a variety of different brands. In the UK, for example, they were sold by Photax as Super-Paragon PMC lenses, while Tokyo Kogaku sold them as AM Topcor lenses for their Topcon RM300 camera. Cima Kogaku also sold lenses directly under the Cimko brand.
On the 2x crop sensor Micro 4/3 cameras, the Cimko Compact is equivalent to a 56mm focal length lens on a 35mm full-frame camera, a focal length still considered to be within the 'standard normal' lens category. Others may categorise it as a 'long standard' or a 'short telephoto.'
The focal length is still within the 'standard normal' lens category, while others categorised the focal length as a 'long standard' or 'short telephoto.'
